German tobacco pipe museum
Located on the hill next to the parish church in the center of the market town of Rhön Oberelsbach “Old School House” since October 1996 houses the German tobacco pipe museum. The museum offers exhibits on selected its extensive, acquired by the district of Rhön-grave field from privately owned tobacco pipe collection an overview of the history of smoking in Germany since the 16th Century to today. Tobacco advertising, from the catalog of the newspaper advertisement through to enamelled metal sign, the exhibition is rounded off.
