Amsterdam pipe museum
The collection of the Amsterdam Pipe Museum, formerly the Pijpenkabinet, is not merely assembled with loose objects that would cost many human lives. In addition to the purchase of individual objects that are often unexpected in trade looming, contacts with collectors sometimes deliver series of acquisitions that may be taken at once. That is repeatedly occurred in recent decades. The size of these acquisitions varies greatly. Sometimes it is only a few objects, in other cases, to hundreds of pieces. Many acquired collections were reconstructed from pieces of collectors who were active a generation earlier.
